How to track your Crypto.com portfolio

August 31, 2026

Crypto.com is supported in the full version of Moonitor, and there is one thing to understand before you set it up: the app most people mean by "Crypto.com" is not the same product as the exchange Moonitor reads prices from.

The prices are close, but the distinction changes which pair you should track and why your cost basis may not match what the app showed you.

The App and the Exchange are different products

Crypto.com runs two things under one brand:

  • The Crypto.com App is the retail product. Simple buy and sell, a card, earn products. Most users are here.
  • The Crypto.com Exchange is the order book platform at crypto.com/exchange, with maker and taker fees and a public market feed.

Moonitor prices against the Exchange. That is the venue with a public order book, and it is what the underlying market data describes.

This mirrors the Coinbase Pro situation, where the retail app and the professional order book are separate products on the same underlying market. In both cases, the order book feed is the right price source even if you bought through the simple interface.

Why your purchase price may look wrong

This matters if you bought in the App rather than on the Exchange.

Retail buy and sell flows typically build their margin into the quoted rate rather than showing a separate fee. The number you paid per coin can be meaningfully worse than the Exchange's mid market price at that moment.

If you then enter the Exchange price as your cost basis, Moonitor will show you as more profitable than you are. Enter what you were actually charged: total paid divided by the amount you actually received. That is your real cost per coin, and it is the number that makes profit tracking honest. Pair naming

The Exchange writes instruments with an underscore, like BTC_USD. Moonitor normalises this, so search for BTC/USD in the usual way and you will find it.

Both dollar and euro quotes are available on major assets. Sterling is not: there is no BTC/GBP on the Exchange, so UK holders should price against Kraken or Bitstamp if they want pound denominated pairs.

A large asset list

The Exchange lists a lot of instruments, several hundred, which puts it between the majors focused venues like Bitstamp and the very long tail on KuCoin.

The usual caution applies to the smaller listings. A pair with thin volume gives a jumpy price and a total you could not actually realise by selling. For anything outside the majors, treat the figure as an estimate.

Setting it up

  1. Choose Crypto.com as the exchange.
  2. Search for your pair, in dollars or euro depending on how you count.
  3. Add each purchase with the amount and, importantly, the price you actually paid including any spread.

CRO and ecosystem tokens

If you hold CRO, the Exchange is the natural place to price it since that is its home market. The same holds for any token whose main liquidity is on a single venue: price it where it actually trades, not where you wish it traded.
